A huge well done to our TY Musical class who competed in the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Friday. The choral festival is run by the Association of Irish Musical Societies and has been running for thirty-eight years.
Choirs from all over the country travel to participate in the Junior Day on Friday and the Senior Day on Sunday. Our ensemble took part in the Senior Chorus competition, singing two choral songs, and the Cameo competition, where they performed an extract from The Addams Family.
A special word of thanks to our accompanist, Mary Rose McNally. An extra special congratulations to our student Caoimhe, who won the Girls Solo (16+) competition at the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Friday. Caoimhe sang “Pulled” from The Addams Family and “She Used to Be Mine” from Waitress. Well done Caoimhe - a tremendous achievement. The whole group performed brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the sunny south east!
