TY student Addison Carey is off on her next adventure. Recently she was chosen to represent Ireland in South Africa. Her project was entitled ‘Advancing Post-Quantum Lattice-based Cryptography by developing Efficient Shortest Vector Problem Approaches’ and was chosen to representSciFest and Ireland at the 45th Eskom Expo International Science Fair (ISF). The fair took place in Johannesburg, South Africa from 6-10 October 2025. This marked the first time SciFestparticipated in person at this prestigious international fair.
With the same project, Addsion also won the Regeneron ISEF Award which includes the opportunity to represent Ireland at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona next week from the 9th -15 of May 2026. This is the largest international pre-college science fair in the world.
