Leaving Certificate 2026

Leaving Certificate 2026 Online Registration

The State Examinations Commission’s Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) is now open for all 2026 Leaving Certificate candidates. All students must register online and complete the 2 step process by 5PM Friday 7 November 2025, at the link below. https://www.examinations.ie/cssp/2025/

Students will need the following information to register on the SEC’s website:

· Student’s leaving certificate exam number

Step 1

In step 1 of this registration process students will be asked to confirm their:

· Full name

· Date of Birth

· Mobile phone number

· Email address

· Create a password for their account

Please read the following guidance from the SEC in relation to registering on the CSSP and setting up your account: https://www.examinations.ie/misc-doc/EN-EX-70282002.pdf

Following step 1, students will receive an Activation Email. Once you click on this, you will be brought to step 2 of the registration process.

Step 2

In step 2, you will be required to confirm subjects and levels for your leaving certificate 2026.

You can:

a. Withdraw from a subject in which you had been entered for the Leaving Certificate

b. Change the level of your subjects

c. Add a subject not listed which you are following a program of study

d. For candidates entered for Music at Higher Level, choose your Elective.

e. Indicate if you require an Irish version of the paper for the written examination

Again, please read the SEC’s guidance carefully: https://www.examinations.ie/misc-doc/EN-EX-80682043.pdf

Once this has been done, you will receive a confirmation page which you can print and/or save for your records. You will also receive a copy of this confirmation page by email from the State Examinations Commission.

Our Guidance Counsellors Deirdre and Anthony have supported students with this process this week, however it is each student’s responsibility to ensure they register their leaving certificate subjects online within the timeframe.

The SEC helpdesk phonelines (1800-111135 or 1800-111136) are available between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours you can email candidateportal@examinations.ie
